Steamed Artichokes

Grant and I always look forward to artichoke season. I grew up having artichokes and they were ALWAYS a special treat! Grant had never eaten them until we got married. I know that some of you are nervous about cooking them, but they are really simple. Here is what I do to maximize the flavor. Mmm....mmm....good.

Steamed Artichokes

Trim top and bottom of artichokes. Wash well. Place in large pot and add 2 inches of water. Drizzle with:

olive oil
1 T. lemon juice
½ tsp garlic salt
Parsley flakes

Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Serve with melted butter.
