Poppy Seed Bread

This is another family favorite. We used to make it every year at Christmas time and give it to our friends. It was always a nice break from the traditional holiday goodies.


Poppy Seed Bread

3 eggs
1 1/8 c. oil
2 ¼ c. sugar
1 ½ c. milk
3 c. flour
1 ½ t. baking pwdr.
1 ½ t. salt
1 ½ t. almond extract
1 ½ t. butter extract
1 ½ t. vanilla extract
1 T. poppy seeds

Mix together and bake 1 hour at 350.

Glaze:
¾ c. pwdr. Sugar
¼ c. orange juice
½ t. vanilla
½ t. almond extract
½ t. butter extract

Spoon over bread 3-4 times while still hot, in or out of pans. Makes 2 loaves.
