Mom’s Yummy BBQ Beef Brisket


4 lbs. beef brisket

Sauce:
2 c. ketchup
1 c. water
2/3 c. rice vinegar
6 T. brown sugar
2 T. butter
2/3 c. minced onion
¼ tsp. garlic salt
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. chili powder
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. liquid smoke

Place beef in crockpot and cook (without sauce) on low for 6 hours. Cool until meat is touchable. Remove fat and cut into 4 equal portions, across the grain. Return to crockpot and pour sauce on top. Cook on low for 2-3 more hours. Shred and serve on French rolls.
