Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie



This is one of my all-time favorite desserts! I'm a sucker for anything with peanut butter and chocolate.


Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

1 ½ c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. powdered sugar
2 T. cornstarch
pinch of salt
4 oz. cream cheese, chopped
½ c. creamy peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
16 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (not minis!)
6 oz. + 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼ c. + 1 ¼ c. heavy cream
Chocolate graham cracker pie crust

In microwave, combine 6 oz. chocolate chips and 1/4 c. cream. Stir every 30 seconds until smooth. Spread over chocolate crust and freeze.

Filling:
Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, cornstarch, ans salt in saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat. Strain. Return to pan and cook until boiling. Stir 2 more minutes until consistency of mayonnaise. Whisk in cream cheese, peanut butter, and vanilla. Fold in 8 cut up Reese’s. Spread over crust and freeze until cool.

Topping:
Melt 2 oz. semisweet chocolate chips in microwave. In separate bowl, beat 1 ¼ c. cream and ½ c. sugar until it holds slight peaks. Fold in melted and cooled chocolate. Spread over pie. Top with remaining cut up Reese’s. Refrigerate until chilled.

  1. I made this and it was soooo good! I added a tablespoon or two of peanut butter to the melted chocolate before adding it to the whipped cream and it was amazing! It reminded me of the peanut butter cream topping they put on the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory. It was definitely a hit with my guests.
