Caramel Brownies

These are pure heaven! I've never met anyone who doesn't love these.

Caramel Brownies

50 caramels
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 box German chocolate cake mix
2/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter, melted
2/3 c. flour

Preheat oven at 350. Melt caramels in medium saucepan with 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Set aside. Mix together cake mix, flour, butter, and 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Spread half of mixture into greased pan and bake 6 minutes. Take out of oven and spread caramel and chocolate chips on top. Take remaining batter and rip into pieces, placing randomly on top of caramel and chocolate chips. Bake 18 more minutes. Let cool. Best if you let sit overnight.

  1. I am going to make these caramel brownies this weekend for the assistant football coaches and was wondering how much butter to use. It says to use 1 1/2 cubes. Is a cube a stick or is it a cup? thanks girl. Sorry to be bothering you again. PS Robert can't decide which yummy syrup recipe he likes the best. He loves them both. And the kids devoured the pumpkin bread pudding. I made it with half cup of cream and half cup of pumpkin spice eggnog.
